BORN IN THE 90S, I GREW UP IN A CALM AND STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT. MY PATH INTO VISUAL STORYTELLING STARTED WITH AN APPRENTICESHIP IN PHOTOGRAPHY, FOLLOWED BY A BRIEF DETOUR INTO STUDYING INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE. IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG TO REALIZE THAT I WAS LESS INTERESTED IN DESIGNING SPACES THAN IN OBSERVING THE PEOPLE MOVING THROUGH THEM. I LEFT UNIVERSITY TO ASSIST PHOTOGRAPHERS AND LEARN THE CRAFT THROUGH EXPERIENCE, PRODUCTION, AND LONG DAYS ON SET.
AFTER WORKING AS A PRODUCER WITHIN THE PHOTOGRAPHY INDUSTRY, I BEGAN WORKING INDEPENDENTLY AS A PHOTOGRAPHER. OVER TIME, THE STILL IMAGE NATURALLY EVOLVED INTO MOTION. DIRECTING BECAME AN EXTENSION OF THE SAME INSTINCT, OBSERVING, FRAMING, AND TRANSLATING EMOTION INTO VISUAL NARRATIVES.
BERLIN HAS BEEN HOME FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS. BECOMING A FATHER SHIFTED THE WAY I LOOK AT THE WORLD. IT SLOWED MY PERSPECTIVE AND SHARPENED MY SENSITIVITY FOR THE QUIET, TRANSIENT MOMENTS THAT OFTEN CARRY THE MOST WEIGHT. THOSE MOMENTS CONTINUE TO SHAPE BOTH MY VISUAL LANGUAGE AND THE WAY I COLLABORATE WITH PEOPLE.
BETWEEN 2024 AND 2025, I STEPPED AWAY FROM COMMISSIONED WORK TO RECALIBRATE BOTH CREATIVELY AND PERSONALLY. THAT PERIOD ALLOWED SPACE TO REFLECT, RETHINK MY PROCESS, AND BUILD A MORE SUSTAINABLE WAY OF WORKING. RETURNING IN 2026, I DO SO WITH RENEWED FOCUS, CLARITY, AND A STRONGER CONNECTION TO THE KIND OF STORIES I WANT TO TELL.
